The Megan Duffy era in Blacksburg is off to a good start. The new head women’s basketball coach at Virginia Tech had to replace virtually an entire roster, losing Hokie icons Elizabeth Kitley, Georgia Amoore and Cayla King, and young players/recruits such as Clara Strack, Lexi Blue, and Clara Silva.
Duffy wasted no time filling out the roster, convincing some Hokies to stay while bringing in talented players like Lani White, Leila Wells, Ramiya White, and Kayl Peterson.
The new head coach also went to work on her first full recruiting class in 2025, landing a pair of four-star talents in guard Kate Sears (Boone, North Carolina) and forward Amani Jenkins (Johnson, Iowa).
