The Virginia Tech Hokies (2-1) have revenge on their minds Saturday when the Rutgers Scarlet Knights (2-0) come to Blacksburg. The two old Big East rivals met last year in New Jersey when the Scarlet Knights easily defeated the Hokies, 35-16, in a game where Virginia Tech quarterback Kyron Drones made his first start.
Drones rushed for 74 yards that day, but a lot has changed since then. The Hokies' offense took off with Drones under center last season, and due to his dual-threat abilities, the Hokies became a big-play offense.
Rutgers coach Greg Schiano knows they aren’t facing the same Drones this time around.
