Being in a new conference isn’t easy since nearly everyone you’ll play is probably a new opponent. SMU seems to have fallen into that particular pattern for this season, and their 2-8 conference record needed mending if they wanted to qualify for the post season ACC tournament and a shot at getting a bid for, at least, the NIT.
