The reality of the 2024 season comes down to the same thing as the 2020 season which was the last time the Hokies and the Hoos faced off in Lane Stadium. There was no crowd for the COVID fiasco season, and there was no energy in that team left to do much more than they pulled off. But that 5-5 season at least ended in a drubbing of the Hoos. That team faced way more adversity than this one, and this one is a rolling M*A*S*H unit as of today.
The chances of either starting quarterback playing the game is pretty slim.
