Hokies grab Game 1 of today's double header from Quinnipiac, 13-4. With lots of big hitting and solid pitching.
The first pitch happened at 1:00 instead of noon. Starting Hokie pitcher Kit Sheets got a ground out, a fly out, and a throw out at second as Bobcat Louis Iannotti tried to stretch a single into a double. Tech got on the scoreboard early, with two runs by Saige Jenco (on base due to a leadoff HBP) and Tom Stoffel (who also got credit for the RBI double that scored Jenco). Ending the 1st inning at 2-0 is never a bad thing.
