The Hokies did it again. For 6 innings the team played a solid up game. Starting pitcher Griffin Stieg, wasn’t pitching pure flame, but he was keeping the Blue Devil offense from crossing the plate more than the Hokies could cross it in return. Then, for some reason, Stieg was pulled in the 6th, and Brady Kirtner brought in to clear off a sticky situation, which he did with the loss of only one run, but inexplicably Kirtner only finished the inning. Even while looking like he might be in a groove, the staff pulled him for Grant Manning in the 7th.
