It’s Been Too Long on the Road
Sometimes you have to wonder where the scheduling people come up with these road trips, and why they seem to love to put a critical key opponent right at the end to make things “special”. Normally we don’t see a single ACC opener for the season until the 3rd or 4th week in December. Back in 2022, with an experienced team and some shining superstars coming of age, the Hokies could deal with the oddity of having to play an ACC game, early, but this new Hokie team is still figuring things out and being scheduled to face one of the best and most difficult ACC teams right off the bat was a huge ask.
