Virginia Tech head coach Brent Pry loves selling players about staying home or returning home. Since becoming head coach, Pry has used the NCAA transfer portal as a way to convince players who initially left the state out of high school. In his short time with the Hokies, Pry has convinced players like Antwaun Powell-Ryland, Kelvin Gilliam, and, most recently, Sherrod Covil to return home to Virginia.
On Sunday, Pry did it again, landing former four-star running back Cameron Seldon. The state of Virginia’s No. 1 overall player in the 2023 recruiting class originally committed to Tennessee, where he spent two seasons before entering the portal.
