The Virginia Tech Hokies picked up another commitment on Monday when three-star offensive lineman Bryce Goodner pledged to the Hokies.
Goodner, a 6-foot-3, 300-pound offensive guard from McMinn High School in Athens, Tenn., just recently picked up an official offer from the Hokies and it did not take long for him to call Virginia Tech home.
A quick look at Goodner’s recruiting profile and you see 27 offers. Impressive, right? Then you realize Virginia Tech was Goodner’s first Power Five offer.
Sure, on optics, this is a concern. However, would it be as much of a concern if the Hokies had landed at least one or two four-star recruits in this class?
