The Virginia Tech Hokies added another commitment on Wednesday when three-star running back Malachi Thomas made his pledge official.
Thomas, a 6-foot-0, 180-pound back from Hart County High in Hartwell, Ga., picked the Hokies out of his 17 offers. He also plans to play baseball once he arrives in Blacksburg.
Thomas brings speed to the running back position. He joins Chance Black as the second back in Tech’s 2021 class. Both are versatile enough to not only play running back, but slot receiver as well. Black is more likely to be moved around than Thomas, though.
