The Virginia Tech Hokies have a chance to be very good in 2024. The Hokies return 20 starters from last year’s that won five of its final seven games, including a Military Bowl victory.
A primary reason for the excitement surrounding the Hokies is junior quarterback Kyron Drones. Drones, who transferred from Baylor after the 2022 season, took over as Virginia Tech’s starting quarterback in a Week 3 loss at Rutgers last season. After a difficult start, Drones became comfortable in Tech’s offense, and coordinator Tyler Bowen began to build the offense around Drones.
The results were undeniable.
