Khalil Herbert was outstanding in his lone season at Virginia Tech. The former Kansas transfer rushed for 1,182 yards, averaging 107 yards per game and over eight yards per attempt. He went over the 100-yard mark six different times, and his 1,791 all-purpose yards ranked No. 3 in the nation.
Surprisingly, Herbert didn’t even make first-team All-ACC at running back.
Herbert could win more hardware before next week’s 2021 NFL draft as he is a finalist for the Dudley Award, which will be announced on Saturday night in Richmond.
The Dudley Award is presented annually to the top FBS football player in the state of Virginia.
