The Virginia Tech Hokies trail the Duke Blue Devils 21-3 at halftime. Virginia Tech received the ball first and moved past midfield before the offense stalled. The defense held Duke on a three-and-out and received the ball back at midfield, but had to settle for three points.
Defensively, Bud Foster’s group was really good on Duke’s first three possessions. However, a fumble by Hendon Hooker/Keshawn King on what looked like a bad exchange gave the Blue Devils the ball at the Tech 16-yard line. Duke scored on the very next play.
The Hokies continued to struggle offensively, while the Blue Devils moved the ball with ease on its final two possessions of the first half to take a commanding 21-3 lead.
