The Virginia Tech Hokies moved to 2-1 on the season with a 24-17 victory over Furman on Saturday in Blacksburg. At halftime, things certainly felt a different as the Paladins went into the locker room with a 14-3 lead thanks to a pair of Virginia Tech turnovers in its own territory. Furman scored both touchdowns off Hokie turnovers.
The second half was a different story, though, thanks largely to freshman running back Keshawn King and sophomore receiver Tre Turner. After a three-and-out on defense, the Hokies took possession at their own 17-yard line. Two King runs later and they were at the Furman 14-yard line.
