The Virginia Tech Hokies are reportedly close to hiring an offensive coordinator. According to Bruce Feldman of The Athletic and FOX Sports, Virginia Tech is targeting Buffalo Bills assistant Christian Taylor as its new offensive coordinator.
Who is Taylor? The 41-year-old spent last season as a defensive quality control coach for the Bills. From 2020-23, Taylor was William & Mary’s offensive coordinator and running backs coach. During his time with the Tribe, Taylor’s offenses were among the most innovative in college football. In 2023, Taylor was named the AFCA FCS Assistant Coach of the Year.
Taylor joined the Bills, where several other William & Mary alumni were on staff, including head coach Sean McDermott and offensive coordinator Joe Brady.
