Virginia Tech football: Hokies lead Georgia Tech 14-6 at halftime

The Virginia Tech Hokies (4-3, 2-1) lead the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (5-3, 3-2) 14-6 at halftime from Lane Stadium.

The Hokies began the game on offense but quickly went three-and-out. Georgia Tech jumped on the scoreboard first, after a 12-play, 59-yard drive, the Jackets kicked a field goal to lead 3-0.

Virginia Tech went back on offense and again failed to get anything going, gaining just 12 yards and being forced to punt.

Kyron Drones finally got the offense going as the second quarter began. Drones completed all three passing attempts, including two to tight end Benji Gosnell for 48 combined yards, the second of which was a 20-yard touchdown reception.
