Virginia Tech football: Hokies lead Clemson 7-0 at halftime

The Virginia Tech Hokies lead the No. 23 Clemson Tigers 7-0 at halftime in Blacksburg.

The Hokies began the game on offense, as quarterback Kyron Drones and running back Bhayshul Tuten were both active after missing last week's game at Syracuse. Unfortunately, the offense couldn’t get anything going and went three-and-out.

Clemson went on offense and marched into Virginia Tech territory on a 15-play drive. However, safety Jaylen Jones intercepted Tigers quarterback Cade Klubnik to end any Clemson scoring threat.

The Hokies were back on offense and again failed to do anything. The Tigers would get into Virginia Tech territory four times in the first half, but Tech’s defense made plays, finishing with three sacks and an interception.
