The Virginia Tech Hokies have been hot on the recruiting since early last month. Tech picked up multiple commitments and then began this month with a bang. Four-star wide receiver Matthew Outten from Portsmouth chose the Hokies over Penn State, Maryland on July 1.
On Wednesday evening, Tech landed its 11th commitment for the 2025 recruiting class when four-star wide receiver Micah Matthews picked the Hokies over North Carolina and others.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Matthews is the 118th-ranked player in the country for 2024, according to 247Sports, and the No. 5 overall player in Virginia.
