Fans were panicking when multiple Virginia Tech players entered the NCAA transfer portal when it opened two weeks ago. What made it even worse was that over one week later, the Hokies had yet to add anyone via the portal despite hosting numerous players on official visits.
That all changed this week, beginning with Virginia native and former Clemson safety Sherrod Covil. On Friday, Tech received commitments from running back Terion Stewart (Bowling Green), running back Marcellous Hawkins (Central Missouri) and defensive lineman Jahzari Priester (Hampton).
On Saturday, head coach Brent Pry kept that hot streak alive, adding two potential starters to the secondary, beginning with former East Carolina cornerback Isaiah Brown-Murray.
