Virginia Tech head coach Brent Pry had a big day on Monday. It began with the commitment of former West Virginia OT Lucas Austin, followed by Mercer defensive tackle Arias Nash, and ended with Eastern Michigan linebacker/defensive end James Djonkam's pledge to the Hokies.
Djonkam is a 6-foot-4, 250-pounder from Springfield, Virginia, having played for West Springfield High School. Djonkam spent his first year out of high school at Independence Community College before signing with Arizona State, where he spent two seasons. Djonkam transferred to Eastern Michigan last year and enjoyed a breakout season.
