Virginia Tech football hires former fullback Jarrett Ferguson as new strength coach

The Virginia Tech Hokies finally have a new strength and conditioning coach — and he’s a familiar face. On Tuesday, Virginia Tech officially announced Jarrett Ferguson as the school’s new strength coach. A native of Goodview, Virginia, Ferguson played high school football at Staunton River before a decorated career as a fullback for Frank Beamer’s Hokies from 1998-2001.

Ferguson was selected in the seventh round of the 2002 NFL draft by the Buffalo Bills. He was a part of four bowl teams at Virginia Tech and was a starter on the 1999 team that played in the national championship team.
