Virginia Tech football coach Justin Fuente met with the media this weekend and gave a troubling injury report on a key recruit from the class of 2018. Cornerback Jeremy Webb was one of the top junior-college recruits in the country last season, but just after he stepped foot on campus he ruptured his Achilles’ tendon and his season was over.
On Saturday, Fuente confirmed the rumors most of us have heard that Webb injured his other Achilles just as he was set to begin football activities. While that will keep Webb out of action for the spring, there’s a good chance he can return for fall camp and the 2019 season.
