It was shocking when the ACC revealed its all-conference teams two weeks ago, and not one player from Virginia Tech received first-team honors.
Let’s start by saying we don’t think the Hokies should’ve had multiple first-team All-ACC performers. But running back Bhayshul Tuten should have been on the first team under the “all-purpose” category for his work as a kick returner. Defensive end Antwaun Powell-Ryland had a solid case to make the first team at defensive end, with 9.5 sacks. Both players were named to the second team.
However, the biggest snub may have cornerback Dorian Strong.
