Turn out the lights, the party’s over.
Those seven words can describe Virginia Tech’s 2024 football season after Saturday’s 24-14 loss to the Clemson Tigers. The loss drops the Hokies to 5-5 and 3-3 in the ACC. Head coach Brent Pry is now 15-19 after VT’s latest loss.
This week, Virginia Tech’s offense didn’t show up, while last week, it was the defense. Late into the third quarter of Saturday’s game, the Hokies had 94 yards of total offense and in the fourth quarter, trailing 21-7, head coach Brent Pry benched starting quarterback Kyron Drones.
Drones completed nine of 20 passes for 115 yards with an interception and rushed for 13 yards on 11 attempts.
