Brock Hoffman was supposed to make an impact on Virginia Tech’s offensive line in 2019. Thanks to the NCAA, Hoffman had to wait a year after transferring over from Coastal Carolina, but was allowed to practice with the team last season.
In Saturday’s season-opening win over NC State, Hoffman started at center in his first game with the Hokies.
And his debut did not disappoint.
The 6-foot-3, 317-pound junior from Statesville, N.C. made an impact on Virginia Tech’s opening drive, opening holes for running back Khalil Herbert and the Hokies jumped out to a big lead.
