The Virginia Tech Hokies improved to 4-3 (2-1) with Thursday night’s 42-21 win over the Boston College Eagles. It wasn’t as easy as the final score indicated, at least for a bit. The Hokies went into halftime with a 28-0 lead, but two turnovers in the third quarter put the Eagles back into the game, making it 28-21 at one point.
However, a defensive stop followed by running back Bhayshul Tuten’s dominance put the Hokies back up by 21, and they never looked back.
It was almost a tale of three games within one game. The Hokies dominated the first two quarters; BC took the third, and Virginia Tech finished strong in the fourth quarter.
