The Virginia Tech football program remains hot on the recruiting trail, as 2025 edge rusher Sherrod Henderson officially pledged to the Hokies on Sunday afternoon. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound Henderson chose the Hokies over his other finalists, Michigan State and Duke.
Henderson is from Rocky Point, North Carolina, and plays at Heide Trask High School.
Henderson is a big pickup for the Hokies. A dynamic two-way athlete who also stars as a running back, Henderson will be an edge rusher at the next level. Last season, Henderson recorded 75 tackles, including 15 for loss, 12 sacks, and rushed for 1,250 yards and 13 touchdowns.
