Fall camp is officially underway in Blacksburg, which means the countdown to the Hokies’ Week 1 game at Vanderbilt is officially on.
The ACC released its preseason poll this week, and the Hokies finished sixth. Tech did receive five first-place votes. The Florida State Seminoles won the ACC with a 13-1 record last season and are the projected favorite to repeat. Clemson comes in behind FSU.
The league also released its 2024 All-ACC Preseason team on Thursday. Two Hokies made the list, and surprisingly, both are on the defensive side of the ball.
Graduate transfer defensive tackle Aeneas Peebles, an All-ACC selection at Duke last season, and senior cornerback Dorian Strong are on the list.
