BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech women’s basketball team never trailed on Saturday afternoon as the Hokies knocked off Mount St. Mary’s at Cassell Coliseum, 59-42.
Hannah Young, a game after tying the Cassell Coliseum record with six 3-pointers, hit five from outside as she scored 15 points and had six rebounds. Vanessa Panousis had 12 points and six rebounds while Chanette Hicks had eight points, six assists, five rebounds and four steals.
Tech won its eighth straight game and improved to 10-1 on the season while Mount St. Mary’s fell to 2-8.
