When the college basketball season ended last month, the Virginia Tech Hokies were busy. Head coach Mike Young saw several players leave via the transfer portal. Most of the departures were the result of Young having honest discussions with the players regarding their future role in the program.
In short, the Hokies needed to get better.
The Hokies released a video where Young seemingly hinted at more NIL money for the basketball program. Young’s roster received little help last season, but that was expected to change next season.
Young's most significant move was bringing back Chester Frazier as his top assistant.
