Virginia Tech women’s basketball coach Megan Duffy made her first hire Thursday, naming Sharnee Zoll-Norman as an assistant coach.
If Zoll-Norman’s name sounds familiar, she is a former star point guard at the University of Virginia. From 2004-08. Zoll-Norman played at UVA, scoring over 1,000 points and starting every game in her four-year career. Zoll-Norman became the only woman in ACC history to record 200 or more assists in three consecutive seasons when she was with the Wahoos.
Zoll-Norman also broke the legendary Dawn Staley’s school and ACC record of career assists during her time in Charlottesville.
