Elizabeth Kitley’s time at Virginia Tech is over. Kitley completed her playing career in March, and her last game in a Hokies’ uniform, unfortunately, came in the regular-season finale at Virginia when she injured her ACL. Kitley missed the ACC Tournament and NCAA Tournament.
A lot has happened since Kitley played her last game. She’s undergone knee surgery, and her head coach, Kenny Brooks, left for Kentucky, taking her good friend, Georgia Amoore, with him. Virginia Tech has a new head coach, Megan Duffy, while Kitley is rehabbing and preparing for Monday’s WNBA draft.
The Hokies held their annual spring football game on Saturday at Lane Stadium and Kitley was present — sort of.
