The Virginia Tech Hokies’ men’s basketball team is getting better. On Saturday night, the Hokies finished their two-game trip on the West Coast with a 71-68 win over the California Golden Bears. Tech has now won two of its last three games and played well for 35 minutes in Wednesday’s loss at Stanford.
The Hokies got off to a fast start on Saturday, going into halftime with a 42-23 lead. That quick start continued after the half when the Hokies scored the first four points to take a 46-23 lead. After senior forward Ben Burnham scored with 15:01 remaining in the game, Virginia Tech led 51-29.
