Virginia Tech basketball: Hokies fall to Georgia Tech 71-64

The Virginia Tech Hokies shot well from beyond the arc, but inside the 3-point line was another story in Wednesday’s 71-64 loss to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in Atlanta.

Sticking with the recent trend of playing a tight game throughout but fading at the end. The Yellow Jackets took a 39-35 lead into halftime, but over the first eight minutes of the second half, the two teams went back and forth, trading leads multiple times. A Rodney Brown jumper with 12:48 remaining tied the game at 47. From that point forward, Georgia Tech never trailed.

Georgia Tech forward Baye Ndongo made a layup at the 12:33 mark giving the Jackets a 49-47 lead.
