The Virginia Tech Hokies lost a lot of talent from their offensive line after the 2020 season. Left tackle Christian Darrisaw declared for the 2021 NFL draft, where he went in the first round. The Hokies also lost a pair of former four-star recruits in Bryan Hudson and Doug Nester, who entered the transfer portal.
While the Hokies have some quality players returning led by Luke Tenuta, Lecitus Smith and Brock Hoffman, plus added former Maryland center Johnny Jordan via the transfer portal, offensive line coach Vance Vice is still looking for depth.
So, on Thursday night, junior-college offensive tackle Bob Schick announced his commitment to Virginia Tech.
