Moving into the new year, the Virginia Tech Hokies wrestling team continues to turn heads. The preseason ranked No. 8 Hokies started the year off with a close, 13-17, loss against then No. 9 Ohio State before earning a commanding win over Gardner-Webb, 35-6. Earlier this month the Hokies soundly defeated then No. 16 Northern Iowa, 39-3. After the defeat of UNI came the Hokies’ best win of the season, thus far, when they won a close match against then No. 3 Missouri!
