We have come to the end of “The End”, and it probably is the article in the series that most interests the GC readership because it’s all about the Hokies, Virginia Tech’s place in the picture, and its continued membership in the inappropriately named Atlantic Coast Conference. We’ll also toss in a guess as to what we think might happen to the ACC by 2030, and maybe even guess at the picture on the other side of the grand college sports transmogrification portal.
The Fall was Hard After Hope Bloomed All Too Briefly
First, before we jump into the crystal ball stuff, let’s look at where Virginia Tech is in the grander scheme of collegiate athletics, and in particular the King and Prince sports of football and men’s basketball.
