LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Virginia Tech track & field team earned several top-five finishes at Liberty’s Twilight Qualifier at the Matthes-Hopkins Track Complex on Wednesday.
Shanel Burr and Jada Gundran started the day off strong for the Hokies, placing second and third in the 100-meter hurdle prelims to advance to finals. The pair finished in the same positions in the final, clocking in at 13.80 and 14.33, respectively.
On the men’s side, Aaron Simpson set a personal record in the 110-meter hurdles to qualify for finals. Simpson clocked in in the prelims at 14.
