Phil Sciretta with a career night, Kit Scheetz wins second with quality start
NORFOLK, Va. – In their second game of the Old Dominion Baseball Tournament, the Virginia Tech Hokies used an 11-run fourth inning to take a commanding lead and registered a 22-1 victory over the previously unbeaten ODU Monarchs on Saturday night at Bud Metheny Baseball Complex.
Fourteen Hokies scored at least one run in the contest, led by Grant Maiorana’s game-high three, while Phil Sciretta had a career night, going 5-for-6 at the plate, with two doubles, and notching seven RBIs.
