The NCAA champion is one of 19 athletes named to the prestigious list
NEW ORLEANS, La. – Reigning javelin national champion Irena Sediva is receiving consideration for the Preseason Women’s Bowerman Award Watch List as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Wednesday. Ten athletes earned a spot on the list, while nine other athletes, including Sediva, received mention and will be considered for future official watch lists.
“It’s great that Irena [Sediva] is being recognized as a Bowerman candidate,” associate head coach Greg Jack said.
