Virginia Tech head baseball coach John Szefc was officially announced as the program’s new leader a week ago, and it has not taken him long to begin putting together his new staff.
On Wednesday afternoon, the program officially announced the hiring of pitching coach Ryan Fecteau, who joins the Hokies from Szefc’s prior school, the University of Maryland.
In addition to his role as the Hokies pitching coach, Fecteau will act as the team’s top assistant under Szefc. With Maryland, Fecteau’s pitching staff had the best ERA in Big Ten play, posting a 3.61 mark in conference action.
