Senior drives in all six Hokie runs in 6-5 win at ETSU
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – With two outs in the top of the ninth inning, laced a triple into the right-center field gap and drove in a pair of runs to put the Virginia Tech baseball team on top of East Tennessee State University 6-5. Sean Kennedy then finished off the game with a scoreless ninth and the Hokies ended a five-game losing streak with the victory.
For Perez, the triple capped off an incredible evening for the senior, who plated all six of Tech’s runs, a career high, and became the first Hokie with six RBIs in a single game since Chad Pinder (May 22, 2013) had six against Virginia in the ACC tournament game in Durham.
