BLACKSBURG – JD Mundy kick-started Virginia Tech baseball’s offense on Wednesday night, launching a three-run home run in the first inning – one of four in the game, and Dylan Hall set career highs in innings and strikeouts as the Hokies took care of Dayton, 19-3, on Wednesday night at English Field at Union Park.
Hall, who allowed a leadoff home run in the first inning, settled in after that as he scattered three more hits and two walks over a career-high six innings pitched and struck out a career-high seven batters to improve to 2-2 on the season.
