This past weekend the No. 5 Virginia Tech Hokies picked up two conference wins, and improved to 13-1 on the season.
The first victory came last Friday when VT demolished the No. 23 Pittsburgh Panthers, 38-9, in front of a home crowd at Cassell Coliseum. Pitt was forced to forfeit matches at 125 and 133 pounds. The Hokies did not have the skillset of No. 7, Solomon Chishko, at 141 due to illness. Mattheos Lozier, picked up the first dual meet victory of his career, and Epperly, (174), Zavatsky (184), Haught (197), and Walz (Heavy) all defeated their Panther competition, earning the Hokies a resounding victory against a ranked conference opponent.
