CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Virginia Tech women’s basketball team found itself in another battle on Sunday afternoon as the Hokies forced No. 18/17 Miami into overtime before the Hurricanes held on to win 67-56 at the BankUnited Center in Coral Gables, Fla.
Sidney Cook led the Hokies (15-12, 3-11 ACC) with 17 points, going 14-of-15 from the line while pulling down nine rebounds and grabbing three steals. Hannah Young added 15 points while Chanette Hicks tallied nine points, four assists and three steals to set the new Virginia Tech ACC single-season record for steals.
