Monkey D. Garp is a famous hero of the Marines. In his past Garp was one of the most well known figures during the age of Gol D. Roger, and still is to this very day. Garp was a Marine most famous for cornering the Pirate King on numerous occasions, though the could never capture Roger. During this time Garp had got word that two of the worlds most fearsome pirates had met in the New World, they were of course Roger and Shiki the Golden Lion. Garp decided to go, much to the protest of fleet Admiral Kong, but Garp left anyway.
