The doldrums have officially set in for the Hokies. In Miami tonight, Virginia Tech faced off against the #11 Miami Hurricanes. The Hokies kept it close in the first half, and had a one point advantage heading into the break. The game was a low scoring affair, as both teams struggled to find the net. The Hurricanes'explosive offense was metered by great Hokies "D", and poor shooting. Virginia Tech did an admirable job keeping the 'Canes within striking distance throughout the first half.
In the second half Miami started showing what makes them #11. It seemed Miami had a second gear, while the Hokies were stuck in neutral.
