Grant Maiorana hits a two-run home run in the setback
BLACKSBURG – The No. 5-ranked Miami Hurricanes scored in each of the last five innings to turn a 5-2 deficit into an 11-6 win over the Virginia Tech Hokies on Saturday afternoon in ACC action at English Field.
Saige Jenco had three hits and scored a pair of runs, while Grant Maiorana hit a two-run home run and Nick Anderson had a two-RBI double to lead the Hokies offense.
Out of the bullpen, Miami’s Andrew Cabezas picked up his first win of the season, while Bryan Garcia earned his fifth save with a two-inning outing.
