Miami was fresh off a loss to rival Florida State, while the Hokies were hoping to continue their winning ways after topping N.C. State. The Hokies were being generous guests, as QB Brenden Motley fumbled in the red zone, setting up Miami deep in Tech territory. After punching in the games first score, Miami jumped ahead 7-0 quickly in this game. Tech scored a touchdown of its own with Trevon Mcmillan taking an option pitch from Motley.
