Seth Allen and Justin Robinson added 10 points each for the Hokies (17-13, 9-8 Atlantic Coast Conference), who pulled into a tie with the Panthers for seventh place with one regular season game remaining for each.
Michael Young scored 16 to lead the Panthers (20-9, 9-8) and James Robinson had 11.
